Our Story
Nicholas & Kelsey’s story began in the depths of the COVID-19 global pandemic, a natural place for love to blossom.
Kelsey was living in the Bay Area and now that her job no longer tied her to an office, decided to explore her Texas curiosity and make the big move to Austin. Nicholas had been living in Austin since 2016 and knew all the best places for a good margarita.
Both lovers of Mexican food and margs, the two met on a Sunday afternoon (March 21, 2021) at El Alma and immediately hit it off. They sat and talked for nearly 5 hours laughing and enjoying each other’s company and the effortless harmony they shared. Both said they knew after the first date they had found the one.
They spent the following year exploring Austin together, attacking every taco and sushi place there was to find. A defining moment in their relationship came when Nicholas got a job opportunity and decided to move to Dallas, 200 miles from Austin. The long distance test proved to be an easy one to overcome and only solidified their compatibility and dedication to one another. They currently live together in Dallas where they frequent their new favorite Mexican restaurant, enjoy walking around White Rock Lake, and dote upon their loving Chihuahua, Mr. Bean.
Growing up Kelsey and her family would spend their summers in Mexico and she holds many fond memories fishing with her father, playing on the beach and exploring the city. Celebrating her day of matrimony in Cabo San Lucas is a fitting testament and she and Nicholas would love you to join them on their day of celebration!
